Ergonomic Arms and Wrist Rests

Arm and wrist rests can help enormously when you’re suffering from RSI issues. Please read the notes below however.

Mouse Rests

If you’re using an ergonomic mouse don’t use a mouse rest!  Mouse rests are counter-productive because an ergonomic mouse should glide across the desk top with forearm resting on the desk.

Keyboard Rests

Keyboard rests do two things: they raise the height of the wrist so that the wrist isn’t bending upwards as it gets to the keys and they also provide a cushioning for the wrist. A thinner compact keyboard might be a better solution than a keyboard wrist rest.

A better keyboard rest would be wider completely covering the desk between the keyboard and you with a cushioned surface however this type have now become difficult to reliably find.
